Solar Scorpio - harnessing the Sun's transit to dive deep into Scorpio Rasi for each Ascendant

[00:00:00] Introduction and Welcome

[00:00:00] Fiona Marques: Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Vedic Astrology Podcast. My name is Fiona Marques, and it is time once again to have a look at the transit of the Sun as an invitation for us to learn a little bit about each Rasi. So this is something that we've been doing all year. And today we have a chance to think about, as the Sun transits through Scorpio, what we might be able to understand and learn more deeply.

[00:00:30] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: And to help me on the journey of understanding Scorpio, I'm delighted to have Gabi back with me. Welcome back, Gabi. Thanks for joining me to talk about Scorpio. Hi, Fiona. Thank you so much for having me. I'm excited to dive into Scorpio and talk about all the juiciness this season offers.

[00:00:47] Fiona Marques: Great. Normally, when we start the podcast I do a little overview of what's going on by transit at the moment in the sky.

But this can cause some confusion between Sidereal and Tropical, and we really don't need it in order to understand Scorpio. We don't need to know exactly what's going on with everything else in the sky. So if you would like to catch up on transits, I'm now doing that on Patreon, every two weeks on Saturday for an hour, small group of us are getting together and just looking at what's going on in those 14 days by transit and where we have time, pulling up anybody's chart and seeing how that's impacting uniquely onto people.

So if you normally listen to the podcast to get an update on the transits, pop on over to www.patreon.com/fionamarques and that's where we will do transits.

But today, what we're going to concentrate on is understanding a little bit more about Scorpio.

[00:01:46] Scorpio Workbook

[00:01:46] Fiona Marques: And Gabi, you have put together a workbook to help understand the qualities of Scorpio and how they might impact on people.

Can you tell us a little bit about your Scorpio workbook?

The Scorpio workbookgoes into, major themes of Scorpio season, what to expect, what the archetype of Scorpio might feel like using the different qualities that are associated with Scorpio. We go into Scorpio through the houses. We'll talk about what it means for each ascendant sign to be going through Scorpio season. And then we'll go into Mars as the ruler and how that energy of Marsimpacts Scorpio and how Scorpio uses the energy of Mars to find healing through the season. And then also a little bit about the chakra that is associat ed with Scorpio season. So an overview of what we can expect and how we can use this season for healing and balance and alignment. And I just want to remind everyone that they can contact Gabi to get a hold of that Scorpio workbook.

[00:02:54] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: You can find me on Instagram right now. And my handle is at SoulFull with two L's, Gabi, G A B I. And yeah, you can drop me a message on Instagram and that's like where I hang out right now.

[00:03:07] Fiona Marques: Fantastic. Thanks, Gabi. Thanks for all of your work in preparing this session for us.

[00:03:14] Fiona Marques: And when you were building your Scorpio workbook, did you fall in love with the sign of Scorpio? Because one shouldn't have favorites, right? As an astrologer, this is a, this is the ecliptic, it's the body of God, it's supposed to be taken in its whole. And yet I find myself attracted to a few zodiac signs and Scorpio would definitely be at the top of that list. Did you have a similar reaction?

[00:03:40] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I did. I feel like there's just so much that we can really learn from Scorpio as an archetype and also for like healing and for really getting to know ourselves on deeper levels and accessing the courage of Mars and the season.

So I may be a little bit biased as well to Scorpio season because it's just juicy.

[00:04:04] The qualities of Scorpio Rasi

[00:04:04] Both: The word juicy, lets us move towards some of the qualities of the sign of Scorpio because juicy makes me think of water. It's a water element Rasi. But What are some of the other qualities associated with Scorpio?

[00:04:19] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: Scorpio is going to be a feminine sign. When we have a feminine sign, it's going to be a more internalized energy that's receptive.

So you can think of Scorpio as a season where we go inward. And because it is a water sign, we're going inward towards our emotions and to really finding the depth of our emotions. And it's also a fixed sign as well. So this gives Scorpio that patience and that endurance to go within and really get to know ourselves and our emotions on this more deeper level.

[00:04:55] Fiona Marques: These are the things that make it so fascinating for astrologers. Maybe it, because it's the natural 8th sign of Scorpio. the Zodiac and that number 8 is often associated with the occult and with hidden knowledge, things that are not available on the surface. Maybe that's why you and I as astrologers want to dive in and spend more time with Scorpio.

But I think one of the things that you're raising there is really interesting about the feminine signs that they have that internal nature. And as we are going to be talking about the Sun today, it'll be interesting how the Sun and natural masculine planet works with that deeply feminine space. Because one of the areas of the body that Scorpio can be associated with is the pelvis and the genital area, isn't it?

Because as we work our way down the body of the Lord of Time, that's where Scorpio ends up. And it seems quite apt because so much of our fertility is, or so much of feminine fertility is hidden inside.

[00:06:03] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: Yeah, totally. It's just so fascinating.

[00:06:06] Fiona Marques: Yeah, yeah, exactly. And then the water signs I think of water signs, Cancer as being the ocean. I think of Scorpio as being the groundwater and Pisces as being like almost mist, disper water that's so dispersed. It's almost not in its liquid form. So if we bring that then to Scorpio and the idea of groundwater and deep, dark water that is, is underneath our feet all the time, but we don't have an awareness of it, but all of these different layers of different, textures of gravel and rocks and soil and water is finding its way to flow through all there because trees and everything access that water to, grow. So it's a really integral part of the planet, but not something that we visibly are aware of most of the time.

And that reminds me of Scorpio in that way that it is a water sign, which means it does have that moksha kind of energy, but it's the moksha that is accessed from deep within. From going to explore the things that are not visible on the surface.

[00:07:14] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: For me, that reminds me of like Scorpio is represented by a scorpion and they live in these dark holes and by themselves. And like how we relate that to the ocean is there's so much of the ocean that we haven't even explored. And that doesn't get that any sunlight. That's actually hidden from the Sun.

And so Scorpio reminds me of that, the depth in the ocean that hasn't been explored yet that is not seen. And that has all this life that we don't even really understand because we don't even have the capacity right now to, go that deep. With Scorpio internally, we do you have the capacity to go that deep.

[00:07:56] Fiona Marques: What you're saying is exactly right, that we do have the capacity to do that. But as you already said, it takes courage. One has to be an explorer. And Mars as the engineer, the problem solver is uniquely placed to, to tackle that challenge of going to such a deep and different environment.

If we think of those very profound layers of the ocean, that the amount of pressure that animals are experiencing, the lack of sunlight, the lack of oxygen, and yet they're teeming with. Life that looks like, aliens to us if we ever do come across those kind of strange creatures.

Then that also brings up for me something that you're saying there about Scorpio and scorpions being self sufficient, that it's it's a place of surviving, maybe on the minimal and just knowing that one can rely on oneself to survive. And only oneself, it, whether it's with scorpions actually being the prey of many other animals and being quite small, like we think of them as maybe being threatening. And I think that's what scorpions want us to think is that they're threatening. But they're actually not that big and they're a delicious treat for various animals. They have this sense of threat perhaps. And so do these animals deep, deep in the ocean that they really have to be self sufficient because they're not getting a lot of support from sunlight and the other things that we take for granted.

So I, find this a really interesting aspect of Scorpio as well.Their reliance on the self and the way that Mars, it's not really a planet that asks for help and it will solve problems by itself.

For me then it's this relationship with Aries, because Mars rules both Scorpio and Aries, and they're both self sufficient. I just think it's really interesting the way that Mars shows up in Aries, taking the initiative and starting something even, with not knowing the consequences, but just backing the self. "I know this is the impulse. I know I have to do it. Whatever the consequences are", got that Aries bravado. And then to see it here in Scorpio of"I know I can only rely on myself to get through this dark water and only I can navigate the unique path. There's no paths through groundwater. Every journey that you take is unique. I think that's really interesting the contrast of Mars in Aries, Mars in Scorpio, and this idea of being self sufficient.

[00:10:38] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I love that. And I think Scorpio really helps us develop that deep trust and security and safety within ourselves. But how I like think about Scorpio too, is we have to deal with the darkness. We have to deal with the depth so we can really feel that safety and be able to hold ourselves. Like you're saying, the end of the day, we need to be that self reliance. We need to have that within ourselves. And that really requires us to feel safe and secure within ourselves and all parts of ourselves.

[00:11:08] Fiona Marques: And then it contrasts beautifully with its dichotomy partner. On the other side of the zodiac is Taurus, an earth sign with the cow, that just provides milk and wants to nourish us and provide comfort and support a big contrast to the self reliance and maybe sense of vulnerability that Scorpio has.

[00:11:35] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: Venus and Mars are just different energies. Mars is more the things on its own where Venus is "I want to bring more people into this".

[00:11:42] Fiona Marques: That's right. Because I think scorpions are kind of loners, as, as far as animals go, I don't think they hunt in packs or really hang out socialize very much. That's in contrast to Taurus, which is cows and cows are always hanging out together. And so then I think that a challenge then for Scorpio is to trust and come out into the openness, isn't it? Scorpio is built for that deep dive into that scary, uncharted territory space. That quote from Jung, "The treasure you seek is inside the cave that you're afraid to go into". And Mars in Scorpio is uniquely built to go into the cave that we're afraid to go into. So that's fantastic. And then at the same time, it can lead to a fear of being vulnerable, a fear of asking for that softness from Taurus, of asking for support. That, I don't want to risk becoming soft and and, out of condition, I need to stay in this, warrior space. So for me, there's that contrast there as well between all the courage and resilience and determination of Scorpio, but then the Achilles heel can be the coming out and asking for softness.

[00:12:59] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I love that because it's also because how I like to think of the zodiac too is like the first four signs are more internalized and the next four are more like how we relate with other people so makes a lot of sense because need that energy. Even Scorpio, who is an internalized energy, does need to feel that safety within. Also another part of Scorpio is being able to connect deeply with others because once we have connected deeply with ourselves and we know ourselves that gives us more vulnerability to, be open to having those relationships with other people as well.

[00:13:30] Fiona Marques: That's the ideal, isn't it? That if we have really explored the depths of our hidden caves and survived that experience. Then there's a, just a kind of unshakable trust and confidence in the self. And then that allows us to flourish on the surface as well as under the ground. But then when one, is, afraid of that groundwater or the deep ocean and hasn't explored or has explored and barely survived and doesn't want to go back there or whatever. It can be hard then to have the integrity between the above ground and the below ground self. That we can have what looks like a flourishing life on the outside, but if those deep groundwaters haven't been explored and mastered, then we're not really living truly authentically on the surface either.

[00:14:22] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: Totally.

[00:14:23] Fiona Marques: And then another final thing that I think is interesting is like Taurus Ascendant we have the Ascendant Lord ruling the 6th house. And in Scorpio also, we would have the Ascendant Lord ruling the 6th house.

It's very interesting to have this 1 and 6 combination because you and I are raving about one of our peculiar favorites signs Scorpio, but perhaps one of the out of balance or challenging aspects of Scorpio can be an intensity about burrowing and finding out and digging into things and maybe not feeling satisfied about anything, perhaps going into the world of conspiracy theories or the world of rabbit holes. So there's that element, isn't there, of as Scorpio got this great skill to be able to drill down into things, but when does that become neurotic or when does it become counterproductive?

[00:15:20] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I think that also has to do a lot with the fixed nature of Scorpio, getting fixated on, whatever the rabbit hole is, or, whatever issue or problem is coming up with that 6th house. That 1 and 6 combination is something to be aware of with Scorpio season is because it is a fixed sign. There's a lot of positive qualities to having that also, like the patience, the endurance do that. But then also the shadow side could be, that tunnel vision and not being able to see other opportunities or other ways to move forward and being fixated

[00:15:55] Fiona Marques: Exactly. It is really interesting to think about the Sun. So maybe we can transition our exploration of Scorpio

[00:16:03] Sun and Scorpio resonance and dissonance

[00:16:03] Fiona Marques: now to talk about the Sun and how the Sun does match with Scorpio and how it doesn't match with Scorpio. Because the Sun is exalted in Aries the other Mars sign. So it's obviously exalted by Mars. So this is one thing that they have in common. But what are some of the other ways that the Sun either resonates with Scorpio or is dissonant with Scorpio?

[00:16:30] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I think the rulership of Mars really helps the Sun feel comfortable in Scorpio in some ways. It maybe can help because the Sun, which is that fire, that vitality. And then you have Scorpio, which is a watery sign.

I think that there can be a little bit more balance there.

And what do you think about the masculine feminine match? The Sun having masculine energy, Scorpio having feminine energy. do you think is a good way to make the most of that? From like a masculine standpoint, you have that inspiration to go inward and to be more receptive to have the courage, to, to look within. That's the beautiful part about Scorpio season is naturally, maybe we feel inspired or we feel drawn to maybe look at things that maybe we weren't able to look at before. So that's how I can see like that masculine, that feminine coming together to find more, peace or harmony within.

[00:17:28] Fiona Marques: And do you think one should be concerned about the fire energy in a water sign? Do you think there's that potential for frustration getting all hot and steamy under the collar? Is there a bit of a clash there between the water and the fire?

[00:17:44] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: That's really interesting because I think in Western astrology, yes, there is, but in Vedic astrology, the water and the fire are like Jupiter owns water and fire, Mars owns water and fire. So there's a cohesion. you can have that fire, you can have those emotions, but maybe it's not going to go as far as it would in Aries. Because Aries is just gonna maybe multiply, whereas, and maybe you're gonna have that first, you're gonna have that, that dramatic, whatever feeling it is, but it's, that's it, it's not going to spread.

So that's how I think about those two elements. And that's why I think that they're actually because you can have fire on the water, if there's a, a crash or something, you, things can burn, but they're not going to, they're not going to, get out of control.

So that's how I like to think about the fire and the water meshing together is it actually is. It's a healthy amount of fire because it's not going destroy anything.

[00:18:41] Fiona Marques: I feel like there's some clue for us there with the Sun being exalted in Aries lets us know that if we are taking a deep dive into the natural 8th sign, so we are going potentially down the rabbit holes. exaltation of the Sun in Aries reminds us to keep the focus on real obstacles, and things that we have to deal with, use this deep investigative energy to address the daily routine, to address nutrition, to address health preventing Mars from, getting latched on to maybe an intellectual exploration of all the knowledge that could ever be found might lead to a dissipation of energy. And that something about the Sun being exalted in Scorpio's natural 6 position is helping us keep whatever we're discovering it's for the purpose of our daily approach to life and our service to life.

[00:19:46] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: And our overall health. Sometimes, with Aries, you can be so focused on maybe the body versus taking a more holistic approach and mind body, emotion, soul, spiritual. Really reminding yourself that health is more than just your body or, your intellect, it's having a more holistic approach.

[00:20:08] Sun in Scorpio for each Ascendant

[00:20:08] Fiona Marques: We are speaking about Aries, so it seems to me like it might be time to jump in and take the opportunity to discuss each Ascendant. So as you're listening along, all you need to know is what Ascendant you are. So where is your rising sign? You can find that out on any number of platforms on the internet.

And then Gabi and I are going to talk about for each ascendant what house that would be and how maybe some Scorpio could influence that. But really, this is not for the purpose of making predictions. And we certainly can't say for all of the millions of people who happen to be a Scorpio Ascendant or a Capricorn Ascendant that This is what's going to happen to you in this particular month. It's not for the purpose of predicting. But if we connect with that solar energy, what context is Scorpio providing that we might be able to understand it more deeply. So with that in mind,

[00:21:03] Aries Ascendant

[00:21:03] Fiona Marques: let's talk about Aries Ascendant

[00:21:06] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: the Sun is naturally the 5th lord because Leo rules the 5th house for all Aries Ascendant. So for Aries Ascendant, in order to connect with the Sun, we might like to think about the 5th house of children, of our creativity, of our investments and just improving life in general. And also of mantras and even our intellect. So the 5th house is, really fascinating house. So the Sun rules the 5th house for an Aries ascendant. And what house is it transiting through when it's in Scorpio?

So it's gonna be transiting through the 8th house for Scorpio Ascendant. It's gonna be about hidden emotions or deep analysis, could be sudden changes in things that you were talking about, the 5th house, creativity, self-expression, children things like that.

[00:22:02] Fiona Marques: I think understanding Scorpio and we're an Aries ascendant, and we're going to tap into this deep, feminine, intuitive water sign I do think it's an invitation to increase our mantra practice. Maybe there's a particular mantra that you would like to do for this month as a way to connect with the Sun and Scorpio. Or just meditation in general, I think goes really nicely.

And then if you do have children this might be representing, might be also a chance to see what they're experiencing. So it could be your physical children, but maybe your creative output is your children. So take that in the way that works for you. Maybe being open that for those children is it going to be a time of change or unexpected things or turbulence? And as a parent to those children, whether it's a creative work or a children is this a time to hold that feminine space if we can as a parent? and just allow it to be okay that things are changing

with our children and that, everybody needs a chance to go into the deep dive of Scorpio and see what's there. If if it is our children or creative output that are going through some kind of transformation, astrology helps us to just honor that of that fixed female water sign.

[00:23:26] Taurus Ascendant

[00:23:26] Fiona Marques: And what about for Taurus Ascendant? Let's ground ourselves for Taurus Ascendant.

[00:23:32] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: For Taurus Ascendants it's their 4th lord. And the 4th lord is our heart space and our home. It's our inner sanctuary, that place of contentment inside the self, where no matter what's going on, there's a home inside the self. That's a little sunny side up description of the 4th house, because of course it's easy for the 4th house to be in turmoil as well because it is our heart center. It is associated with Moksha and with change or with transcendence. It can be our inner sanctuary, but when our inner sanctuary is disturbed, it can be quite disturbingfor our life. But that's not necessarily the case here. So we have the 4th Lord, the Sun is going into the 7th house. Any thoughts about how we can tap into Scorpio energy helpfully there, Gabi? Yeah. So for me, when I think about like the 7 and 4 relationship, it's almost there's an opportunity to heal some family dynamics or there's a correlation between what's happening at the home and maybe how that's internalizing within us and how we can communicate our feelings. Or we can find ways to work through some things that have been lingering. I think that's a great opportunity for maybe Taurus Ascendant during Scorpio season.

I agree with you. It's an invitation, something around relationships because in this 7th house, the Sun is going through the 7th house, our Lord of the heart center going through the 7th house. And it makes me think about psychological intimacy. So I don't know whether for those who are Taurus Ascendant are feeling that there's something that we want to share deeply with a partner? Maybe being vulnerable in our relationships. Whether those are intimate relationships or business relationships and partnerships, maybe it's a chance to be vulnerable in our transactions. And that could feel like, "Oh, that's a great thing to do!", or it could be something that feels like it's being a little bit forced upon us, by the timing of things. So don't worry if one feels that one's being a little bit more vulnerable in one's even business relationships. Maybe that's just the time that it is.

[00:25:53] Fiona Marques: And also a chance to reflect on that in a feminine way. So whatever has been going on in our relationships, whether they be business or intimate relationships, this is a time maybe where inside of ourselves we know that we're processing something about that. Maybe it's not even coming out yet. Maybe we're not sharing it with the other person, but deeply inside maybe we're processing, we're having dreams about that or or thoughts from the past and Mars hosting this sign of Scorpio give us the courage to explore anything that's there. Yeah a beautiful, deep connection for Taurus Ascendant.

[00:26:39] Gemini Ascendant

[00:26:39] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: And for Gemini Ascendants, Sun is the 3rd lord of friends and peers and courage, adventure, of short journeys and communication, especially written communication. So the Sun is the 3rd lord and when it's going through Scorpio, what house is that for Gemini Ascendants? Yeah, so the Sun that's going to be transiting the 6th house for a Gemini ascendant.

So we talked a little bit about the 6th house earlier with,

[00:27:11] Fiona Marques: we did,

[00:27:14] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: but so it'll be like the health. It could be help. It could be daily routines, delays. These debts, service would be themes. And then also following your curiosities, like, if there are things that you've been curious about adding to your daily routine or, ways that you could be of service or your health this would be a great time to maybe explore that to be more receptive to how your body is feeling.

[00:27:40] Fiona Marques: I was also thinking about the Sun as an auspicious planet maybe giving us some righteous courage, the 3rd Lord of courage to address some obstacles, inner obstacles as it's a feminine fixed sign. So an opportunity to have consistency with our daily routines, like use that solar energy show up for our, whatever our desired daily routine, daily practices are. Being courageous in overcoming any obstacles with those routines. It's easy to want to get up every morning and do 15 minutes of yoga or whatever it is. But now we can use Scorpio to reflect on what is blocking those things and use the Mars engineer to to find ways to creatively solve those problems.

And I was thinking also about whether it's going to bring a bit more heat to people's digestion for Gemini, having the Sun come through here, the 6th house. So it might also help us to explore any root causes of issues with that digestion, a time to connect inwardly and intuit in a feminine way problem solve what might be going on with our digestion. So some solar inspiration of what Scorpio could be helpful for a Gemini Ascendant.

[00:29:10] Cancer Ascendant

[00:29:10] Fiona Marques: Then let's have a look at Cancer. For Cancer ascendant, the Sun is the 2nd Lord. It rules the 2nd The 2nd house of things that we ingest things that we say. So all to do with the mouth, those two things to do with the mouth, what we take in and what we speak out. Also our immediate family and our experience of the nurturing that we received as a young child, which translates also into our innate value because the 2nd house is also a house of income. It's an Artha house of income and hard work and responsibilities and resources.

So then the 2nd lord, the Sun for Cancer Ascendant, when it's transiting through Scorpio, what house is that?

[00:30:00] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: So it's going to be at the 5th house for a Cancer Ascendant. So 5th house could represent our creativity, our self expression, maybe some romance, even children. And so there's this combination between 5 and 2. So when I think about this, it's really about behind our expression, our creativity or even our children. Tying in our creativity and our self expression to like feelings of worthiness and security within and feeling confident, that kind of solar quality to feel secure and confident in our expression of who we are.

[00:30:40] Fiona Marques: That would be a really nice way to tap into the opportunity that Scorpio is offering and a chance for us to understand Scorpio a bit more deeply as a Cancer Ascendant. Was once again my love of mantras. This is the voice, the 2nd Lord with the 5th house of intelligence and mantras. So I'm going to encourage Cancer Ascendant, if you want to tap into understanding Scorpio, perhaps a mantra might be nice or a mantra practice this month.

Then another thing that I think here is the Sun is the 2nd Lord of income, and the 5th house is about investments. So I'm wondering about deeply researching investments this month, perhaps then to take action in Sagittarius season, which is Sagittarius is the arrow and the aiming for what our vision is. So yes, Cancer Ascendant, if there is an investment that you've been thinking about. understanding better, maybe Scorpio is going to give you that opportunity. This is a nice chance to use the research skills of Scorpio.

[00:31:53] Leo Ascendant

[00:31:53] Fiona Marques: Then let's talk about Leo. The Sun is custodian of Leo. And this means that itthe Sun is the 1st lord for Leo ascendants. Often we associate the 1st lord with the body. And the personality and the life path. I guess the original direction that this person received when they took that first breath and the layout of the planets and the cusps and the houses understood for the first time is all recorded here in the 1st house.

And when the Sun for a Leo ascendant is transiting through Scorpio, what house is it transiting through, Gabi?

[00:32:33] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: It's going to be transiting through the 4th house for a Leo ascendant and that's going to be the house of the home and the family and of that emotional foundation even can represent the relationship to the mother.

So there's a a 4-1 connection. So really feeling comfortable and confident at home and secure within in your home environment as well as your inner home.

[00:32:59] Fiona Marques:

[00:32:59] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: And noticing any emotional patterns or anything that might be disrupting that inner peace within.

[00:33:05] Fiona Marques: We were just talking about with Cancer, a time to deeply research investments. This could be like what you're saying a time to deeply research one's inner peace, or it could even be to deeply research the home. Maybe it's a new home wanting to relocate, this is a time to take that fixed feminine nature of Scorpio to allow one to listen to inside the self, what one really needs in terms of the home and where one lives. So it could be something like that as a way to take advantage of Scorpio this month.

And also being vulnerable in the heart center. Taking the opportunity of Scorpio to deeply connect with your heart truths, even if nothing is particularly expressed about that during this Scorpio season, just a regular practice this month of breathing into the heart center and listening for the wisdom and information, the feelings and emotions that are coming up when we do give our attention to the heart center, because that's going to enliven that part of the body which is associated with the 4th house.

So maybe that could be a practice. for Leo Ascendant this month.

[00:34:30] Virgo Ascendant

[00:34:30] Fiona Marques: Now for Virgo Ascendant, the Sun then is the 12th lord of contemplation of far off distant places, of retreats, of losses and what we're letting go, of transformation and transcendence. So an extremely spiritual planet for Virgo ascendants and what house will it be transiting for Virgo ascendants, Gabi?

[00:34:58] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: It's going to be transiting 3rd house of communication, of learning, maybe even hobbies or even sibling. So maybe Virgo's ascendants have a strong interest in these types of transcendental practices or it's a good time to start incorporating that into your life. Or you'll find that there's more of a pull or draw towards these types of practices during this time.

[00:35:26] Fiona Marques: me, I was thinking about that as the 3rd is associated with writing, maybe this is a good month for diary writing, for having a practice of reflecting and contemplating. But putting that in the written word might be a nice way to access the wisdom that Scorpio, the host of this period of time might give.

[00:35:53] Libra Ascendant

[00:35:53] Fiona Marques: Now that brings us to Libra Ascendant, which was what you and I talked about last month when we got together. So for Libra Ascendants, the Sun is the 11th Lord. It rules the 11th house of gains. The 11th house is the house that is the most upachaya. It grows consistently over the life, gets better as life goes on.

The 11th house is also about recognition and certificates validation from external sources. It's about older siblings, and it's also about the networks that we're connected to. So the large social or group networks, maybe if we work for a large organization, or maybe it's social media, or maybe it's just that large network of community, whether it's the country or the school that we belong to, that can all be associated with the 11th.

So the Sun can represent something about any of those things. And it's going to be in which house for Libra ascendants?

[00:36:58] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: It's going to be the 2nd house. So there's going to be this connection between our ambitions and our networks, but then also finances or our self worth, our values, like that material security being at the forefront of our awareness. And Scorpio season for a Libra Ascendant is really asking us to examine our relationship to these things, to our self worth, to our finances, to our possessions, what we actually really value, to look within ourselves and really be honest about that.

[00:37:30] Fiona Marques: Yeah I agree with you. It's an interesting combination to bring together, isn't it? The 2nd and the 11th, they're both got a finance kind of connection to them. But I was thinking about that may be harnessing Scorpio is researching what validation is it that I need to feel valuable? And I don't mean that in a kind of, my value can only be certified in an external way. Hopefully not traveling down that sort of line, but more are there things that I need to do for my career or my living situation where I do need to feel get certified? Which might be renewing your passport or a driver's license or maybe it is a qualification that it's time to take this month to think do I need to commit to a new qualification? Then this is the perfect time to take the deep dive into what recognition we need to increase our value maybe in the workplace or maybe in your living arrangements.

And then of course, although it's a feminine and more introverted space, it is the 2nd, so it might mean speaking to large groups or networks. So if you are a Libra ascendant and it does seem like that opportunity has come along to speak, maybe it'll be a chance to speak from the vulnerability of the self, from those deep places of the self, so Mars might give us the courage to do that.

[00:39:10] Scorpio Ascendant

[00:39:10] Fiona Marques: And then we come to the star attraction this month, which is Scorpio Ascendant. So for Scorpio Ascendant, the Sun rules the 10th house. Another reason why Scorpio is just such a fascinating sign and Ascendant. The 10th is the highest place in the sky at the time of birth so we often associate it with the way we're seen in the outside world. So that usually shows up in terms of career or perhaps fame, what we're known for because it's what's visible, the most visible thing. It's the most activated angle in a person's chart. These are some of the indications of what the Sun might represent for a Scorpio ascendant and what house is it going to be transiting through, Gabi?

[00:39:52] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: So for Scorpio Ascendant, it'll be the 1st house. So it's going to be the house of, our personality, our identity, our self awareness. It ties in that 1st house and that 10th house together. So for Scorpio Ascendant, it's time to really explore and consider how you show up in the world.

Personal growth or achievement, are intertwined together for a Scorpio Ascendant especially during time and, feeling confident in what you're doing and your achievements could be a theme for a Scorpio Ascendant.

[00:40:29] Fiona Marques: Each of the signs has their own challenges, don't they? And when that happens in a fixed feminine water sign, how does one work with that? Because it's easy to think about achievements, with something like Aries or Leo, when you have a fire sign that's got that sort of spark. But when the richness of a Scorpio ascendant that we call upon for our fame and recognition is coming from that inner fearlessness to be able to the depths of anything and everything. So yes, I also thought that this was a month to reflect on being one's own authority. And what that truly means allowing that to sink in, to embody that from the inside first during this month. Maybe leading to starting your own business, a really nice combination 1 and 10. Maybe that's going to coming out into Sagittarius where we got the vision of the fire sign coming up next month. So maybe that's something to reflect on as well.

[00:41:36] Sagittarius Ascendant

[00:41:36] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: That brings us to Sagittarius Ascendant. The Sun rules the 9th house, a trinal house. The 9th house of in a way it's of good fortune andlucky lucky things that happen because everything just fits and feels right. But the 9th house is also about our traditions and what we devote our life to. can be about our parents as a unit together can be considered the 9th. it's where we find purpose and meaning and our calling. So The 9th Lord, in this case, the Sun, for Sagittarius Ascendant can be a very inspired planet because the Sun and purpose and meaning go together really nicely.

[00:42:27] Fiona Marques: And this 9th Lord for a Sagittarius Ascendant, the Sun, what houses are going to be transiting when it goes through Scorpio?

[00:42:34] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: So we're gonna be transiting 12th house for a Sagittarius Ascendant. Which is really interesting because, the 12th house is about spirituality or, the subconscious mind. Sometimes it can represent isolating yourself. Or even expenses. So it could be really interested in spirituality or in diving deep into different ways of learning. Or even maybe new belief systems. Maybe there's some beliefs that you were attached to, but now during Scorpio season there's new truths or hidden truths that are being revealed about, certain beliefs that you've held.

[00:43:14] Fiona Marques: And a lot of faith, though, too, like with this 12 9 combination for Sagittarius, there's a lot about having faith and kind of trusting the process. And is that deeper sense of purpose that whatever, comes up around, your spirituality or subconscious, that it really is for a deeper purpose. I love that, Gabi. There's nothing that I can add to that. It's a very beautiful combination, the 9th and the 12th, and I agree with you it's good to be open to, letting go and that what truths Scorpio are going to help us tap into that might might lead us to letting go of beliefs or traditions. So yes, I think it's a great time to take the opportunity to reflect on how our traditions are linked to our own enlightenment and making both of those meaningful. Making our own cultural practices meaningful for us and making our own spiritual meditation, transcendent practices, how can they cross more synergistically support each other.

So yes, Scorpio is going to give the container for us to deeply reflect on all those things.

[00:44:27] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: Maybe expenses going towards these pursuits.

[00:44:31] Fiona Marques: Or towards higher education in general, just the 9th Lord of higher education.

[00:44:35] Capricorn Ascendant

[00:44:35] Fiona Marques: Now we come to Capricorn Ascendant and for Capricorn Ascendant, the Sun is the 8th lord. The 8th lord is often associated with unexpected change. The 8th is a Moksha number. So these unexpected changes and transformations are actually for our own enlightenment and being released from the illusion of material experience.

Also the 8th relates to other people's money and all things like that, inheritances and wills.

And the 8th is also related to how interact with conflict and what ends up happening through conflict. When we have the Sun here associated with our approach to adversity, then the Sun is a very noble and auspicious planet so could be working in our favor. So we have the 8th Lord and it is going to be transiting through which house?

[00:45:34] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: It's going to be transiting through the 11th house for a Capricorn Ascendant. So there's going to be those themes like social networks and our longterm goals, and gains.

So there's this connection between, 11 and 8. Surrendering to something bigger like bigger social networks. Or, really understanding that everything is happening for these long term goals to come into fruition. Orrealize that there's deeper meaning behind these aspirations that you have.

[00:46:07] Fiona Marques: I love how you're bringing in aspirations as the 11th house. I don't think I mentioned that when we were talking before about the Sun for Libra ascendant. So always good to remember the 11th and aspirations. I think that this could mean some really deep research into esoteric topics into astrology, into tarot, into whatever it is that you think helps explain what's really going on. So our spark of light from the Sun might want to shed some light on those areas of knowledge that sometimes cloaked in darkness. The only thing to keep in mind there is to keep that auspicious nature of the Sun and bring the light for everybody's enlightenment. We don't want to get too sucked into the deep, dark rabbit holes that we talked about before.

And then I think that there, there seems to be like, when we have 8 and 11 together, it always reminds me of other people's money and gains. Will there be a passing for you during this time and will it have financial implications is something to keep open to. And I guess working that the other way around then would be what is it that we can transform and let go of to increase our gains and aspirations might be a way to reflect in the Scorpio season.

[00:47:38] Aquarius Ascendant

[00:47:38] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: For Aquarius Ascendant, the Sun is the 7th lord of the partner of that person, that reality that reflects you back all the way over on the other side of the ecliptic. Your ascendant sign was what was rising on the eastern horizon. The 7th was what was setting at the time of the birth. So there can be that constantly, that interest in the 7th were chasing what it was that was disappearing over the horizon.

[00:48:06] Fiona Marques: And it can relate to partners. But it could also relate to business and transactions, any exchanges that we have with other people. What are your thoughts then about, for Aquarius Ascendant, which house is the Sun going to be transiting when it's in Scorpio?

[00:48:26] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: For the Aquarius Ascendant, it'll be transiting the 10th house. So the 10th house is going to be career achievements, status, our public life. So there's this connection between how we interact with others and our career and our achievements and maybe making sure that those interactions feel good within us. That they support our values and our inner world and giving us an opportunity to evaluate where we can take on more leadership in what types of relationships are we maybe being the leader and which types of relationships maybe can we, maybe tone it down a little bit.

So it's really paying attention to how we show up in our interactions with others. out where authority is needed and where it's needed the most.

[00:49:12] Fiona Marques: I guess it makes me think about that this could be related to our partner. So it might be us, but if it's showing up for your partner during this season that they are deeply reflecting and changing. Maybe they feel that something is going on for them in terms of their career. Then then we can hold that Scorpio space and allow people an introverted time where maybe the partner is processing something that will become clear as we move to Sagittarius and then Capricorn as the Sun moves through.

So my only thoughts are we could harness Scorpio energy by holding the container for the partner. If the partner is going through some deep reflection about their work and what their next steps are going to be that hasn't come to fruition yet.

[00:50:04] Pisces Ascendant

[00:50:04] Fiona Marques: Then for Pisces Ascendant, the Sunrules the 6th house. And we've spoken about the 6th house a little bit today. So it's lovely that we began Aries talking about how Mars rules the 1st and the 6th for a Scorpio ascendant. Then of course we had our discussion about the 6th lord and now for Pisces, the Sun rules the 6th.

And as we've said, the 6 can relate to health and nutrition and our daily routines. It can also relate to service and also to obstacles, delays, debts, the kind of problems that we need to deal with every day. And that when we deal with them every day, they don't turn into problems. But if we leave them unattended, they easily pile up and become something bigger that's much more complicated to deal with. So that is the Sun for Pisces. Ascendant. It's consistency can really help us with our daily chores. And which house is it going to be transiting for a Pisces Ascendant?

[00:51:12] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: For Pisces Ascendant, Scorpio season is going to be the 9th house. So it's going to relate a lot to purpose. I like to think of the 9th house as our purpose, our higher knowledge and wisdom, higher learning, even other cultures. So there's this connection between, our daily life and really wanting to learn and gain knowledge and engage. Or a spiritual intellectual growth of some sort utilizing Scorpio season to heal anything that is blocking our faith in something higher than ourselves.

[00:51:50] Fiona Marques: Scorpio's ability to allow us to go deep, to allow us to go silent, to explore the uncharted territory is maybe a chance for the Sun to Ask that question. How do I find meaning in those daily menial chores that we all have to do? maybe it's service. Maybe it's the care of others. Maybe we look after a parent or children orour pets. How is that actually really our highest calling? And Scorpio is a nice, quiet time to answer that question deeply.

[00:52:26] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I like to think of the 6th house as acts of devotion almost, because we're finding divinity in the mundane of life. So it's like, how can we really be devoted to our daily life that way?

[00:52:37] Conclusion and Scorpio Workbook Details

[00:52:37] Fiona Marques: Mmm, beautiful. Well that seems like a lovely note to end our discussion of how to learn about Scorpio via the Sun's transit this Scorpio solar season.

[00:52:51] Gabi @SoulfullGabi: I think that there's just so much for every Ascendant to learn and to grow through and to take in during this time. And to access that courage of Mars to have that will and that determination to improve ourselves on a deeper level. So we can ultimately relate to other people and ourselves on a deeper level.

[00:53:14] Fiona Marques: Yes. We want to hear from you how Scorpio season was and what was your best way of tapping into understanding Scorpio better. And I just want to remind everyone that they can contact Gabi to get a hold of that Scorpio workbook. And how can people contact you, Gabi?
